Impact Edition x Glass for Life

Impact.Edition and Glass For Life brought together scientists, sustainability leaders, students, and community members at Mr. C Miami in Coconut Grove for a conversation about turning discarded glass into a resource for coastal restoration. The event explored a pioneering research project led by Glass For Life in collaboration with the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and the University of Miami, examining how recycled glass sand could support native plant growth and strengthen South Florida’s coastal resilience. Moderated by Impact.Edition Founder & Publisher Yulia Strokova, the panel featured Paola Barranco of Glass For Life, Juliana Grilo of Frost Science, Nathan Rubin of the University of Miami, Amy Wald of Greenluxe, and Lauren Reilly of Sustainable Spin. The evening combined environmental research, practical solutions, and community conversation around building a more circular and resilient Miami.
